RETREATS

FINDING GOD IN THE ORDINARY- LOUISVILLE, KY

When?

This set of retreats offers the following:

  1. JAN 18-19, 2025: Finding God in the ordinary: In a world filled with so many distractions that clamor for our attention, this retreat will explore ways to recognize God’s presence with us in the ordinary days of our life.

  2. APR. 26-27, 2025: Finding God in my story: Each of us has a story that continues to be written. Many people live their entire life never being curious about their story. Yet our story is filled with the fingerprints of God.

  3. AUG. 2-3, 2025: Becoming a holy listener of our story: The world is desperate for holy listeners. Have you ever wished that someone would listen and interact with you through the lens of the Holy Spirit? Discover how you could actually grow in the art of holy listening.

  4. NOV. 22-23, 2025: Finding God in self-awareness: The Enneagram has a way of helping us notice the movements of our soul towards God or away from Him. This deeper awareness of how I am showing up in the world to God, myself, and others is important for continual spiritual transformation.

  5. DATE TBD: Finding God through attachment: Our attachment style often affects our relationships with each other and how we relate to Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We will explore how to build a more secure attachment with God which leads to improved mental, emotional, and spiritual health.

  6. DATE TBD: Finding God in my shame: Shame isn’t just feeling bad for doing something wrong, most often shame is nuanced subtly in our lives and shows up as I am not enough. Whatever the shame, experiencing the unconditional love of God is the path to healing.

  7. DATE TBD: Finding God when God feels hard to find: We have all had at least one season where God seemed to go radio silent. What do we do when all the good feelings we had of his presence seem to vanish? What is God up to in what St. John of the Cross calls the dark night of the soul experience?

  8. DATE TBD: Finding God in my future: It has been said that those who don’t let themselves be formed in such a way to become an elder just become elderly. How are you being formed now to have the most impact in the best years of your life?

  9. DATE TBD: Celebration: It is only right to reflect on how the Spirit has shaped our souls in this journey to be more aligned with the Kingdom purposes of our life.
